My Awesome Experience on Criminal Minds!

Being on the tv show "Criminal Minds" was really cool and exciting. We had to drive to this remote ranch somewhere in the desert-like hills of California. It was being filmed at some movie ranch that war movies and movies like "Iron-Man" were usually filmed at. I was pretty familiar with the place because I had been on other jobs there. Such as "Man-Down" and "1915" which were along the lines of army movies. The scene was basically where me and a bunch of other people were living in the slums of India. The set looked really cool and it felt like I was actually in the slums of India (which isn't exactly a great place to live). When we arrived at the set they dressed up my sister and I in these dirty rags and put fake dirt all over us. It looked really cool but that fake dirt stuff was so hard to wash off. It stayed on me for like a two weeks. As soon as we were placed in our positions, the PAs, producers, and directors were drilling us on how when the drone that was carrying the camera took off we were supposed to look away and not go under or near the area where it was. When they told us this and how they were using the drone to film the scene, I was amazed. The drone was pretty big and was carrying this big bulky camera into the sky. It was able to fly so high and it got up there pretty fast. Anyway, the scene I was in was basically where this man that was bleeding like crazy woke up in the slums of India injured really bad. He then walks toward a group of people (which I am in) and asks for help. But the group of people just stare at him then he collapses and dies right in front of us. It was an intense scene and the actor playing the injured person did an amazing job. The blood on him looked really realistic too. The next scene I did was where I was playing cricket with two kids in an alleyway. But then some bomb or something is about to go off so then my "parents" rushed us out before we got hurt. It was pretty fun playing Cricket and the director or producer showed us how to play so that made the experience even cooler. But when we left the set and came back we noticed that it was really cloudy outside but it didn't seem to be raining. Then only seconds later we saw lightning! They directors and producers had to break set and reschedule it for the next day. We kept seeing it coming closer so everyone gathered under the same shed roof out side and watched the lightning come closer and closer. It was really cool seeing lightning so up close and seeing it so many time. It made the situation even funnier when my sister was freaking out for nothing. But one of the producers had rented an ices-custard-type-thing that was really good and delicious. So while everyone was freaking out my mom and I were just eating while staring at them lighting. Overall it was really cool being on this set and I hope I get to do something like this again.

My Awesome Experience on a Dole Commercial!

The day that I went on a Dole commercial was pretty fun and cool. It was a late call time and it wasn't super long. They said I might have to skateboard so they asked if I knew how to skate. My mom said yes but I was pretty bad. Before the job I couldn't even get on the board. So my mom made me practice in the parking lot of my friend's church. I had my friend with me which was pretty fun and he didn't know how to skate either so we were pretty much on the same page. By the end of the day I could get on the board but I still wasn't that great. So when the time cam for my mom and I to head to the studio where they were filming I was pretty nervous. But when we got there we waited for a while  and they finally put us on set, except I didn't skateboard. They just had me stand in the background with this other kid while a different kid got to ride a skateboard. It was boring but by looking at the person they chose, it was probably better this way. But the kid who got chosen to skateboard was actually really nice. He actually took the time to teach me and few other kids to skateboard. He was a really good friend and instructor and by the end of the day I felt like a pro. I could do this one trick that looked complicated but was actually pretty easy. Even though I didn't get to work that much I still got to hang out with a bunch of cool kids who taught me to skateboard. Now I can skateboard pretty well and I got myself a new skateboard. So I owe it all to that nice kid whose name I forget (which I feel awful about). This is definitely one day I will never forget.

My Awesome Experience on Grey's Anatomy!

On February 1, 2013 I had the pleasure to work on the tv show "Grey's Anatomy". It was a very exciting day but as usual, it was a very long day. At 12:30 pm my mom and I arrived at the studios. It was really cool after we checked in because we got to ride around the studios in a golf cart to get to the studio that the show "Grey's Anatomy" was being filmed at. It was a long time before I actually got to work. So I just waited the whole time eating loads of snacks, reading, and doing homework. It wasn't until 6:00 pm when they called me and said that they needed me on set. It was actually pretty cool being on set. They had me hooked up to this tube that connected to a bag of water on a pole that was on wheels. They told me that I was supposed to be a sick patient at the hospital. So while the camera was filming I stood there next to my "mom" and the "doctor" in the background. My on set mom was supposed to be going over some important medical procedures with the doctor on some sort of iPad. It was pretty cool being on the set. The whole place looked exactly like a hospital. There were fake patients and doctors everywhere and cool equipment in some places. It was a really elaborate set. After that scene we were wrapped and ready to go home. It was really cool being on that set and I hope I get another opportunity to do something like that again!
